Hiniker’s Hemp Harvester Grabs Attention at Every Ag Show- Hemp Stripper Harvester to Come!

Mankato, MN: After fully being paraded around the nation at the top agricultural shows and tested in Kentucky and Minnesota, Hiniker’s Hemp Harvester will be available to purchase this upcoming 2020 season. Hiniker Company is a Minnesota based manufacturer with roots in the agricultural equipment industry going back to 1970 and continuing today along with a popular line of snow removal equipment.

Hiniker’s Hemp Harvester is an inventive design built to harvest one row at a time, as many customers stated they preferred due to different row spacings. The adjustable augers pull the hemp plants into the cutter and conveyer and the 2 PTO driven rotary cutters spinning at 1000 RPM cut the crop. The floating ground supported skids provide for a low plant cut height. The 42” wide upper belt pinch conveyor keeps plants moving up the belt. The hydraulic driven conveyor makes it easy to control conveyor speed.

Following the high demand for hemp farming products, Hiniker has plans for a new Hemp Stripper Harvester. The project is still in the works, but to give customers a taste of what is to come, Engineer Gary Hodapp stated, “Because of the increasing demand for stripping the hemp leaves and buds in the field, we are working on a design for a pull type harvester that can be pulled with a conventional farm tractor and convey the harvested leaves and buds to a transport wagon.”
